Morrowind is a living organism – variety and quality of mods out there make the game practicaly neverending, lifetime experience.
This is why Morrowind community is alive and growing even after 12 years of existence. Actually, they should be considered part of a game by now, as they take original game and completely enhance it, adding so much more to already big universe. Morrowind is the best Elder Scroll experience, and now you will see why.Ī set of a ” must have” mods includes Morrowind Overhaul and Tamriel Rebuilt. Hard to believe, but I know there are many of these folks out there. This text will, hopefully, help many gamers out there who met ES series with Skyrim or even Oblivion, but have never experienced Morrowind to finally try it. There are some other great sites out there, so all is not lost. In moment of writing this, planet elder scrolls site, a great place and community which provided 90% of mods I’m using is, for some unknown reason, gone, and it’s been dead for awhile.
All the mods accumulated in last 10 years were right there for taking, served on a few fan sites, some more obscure than the others. Well, result was a shift of gameplay experience to a whole new level.
Now, Morrowind vanilla is a great game, as I said, I played it over and over since 2002/03 and not till recently – year ago perhaps, I have decided to try out some of the mods I’ve been reading so much about. I have decided to finally write few words, not about the game itself, but more about expansions, mods and some hints & tips that I’m using, in order to enhance the game experience to a whole new level. And it still is, after years of playing it over and over. Ever since my very first Morrowind character, barbarian nord armed with axe, got killed on his first quest by couple of rats, I knew this will be my favorite game ever.
